New Planning Component Enables Eligible Organizations and Individual Artist Grantees to Plan Ahead – Workshop a MUST
BROWARD COUNTY, FL– Broward County Commission’s Cultural Division will offer a grant writing workshop to aid applicants for the Education and Community Development (ECD) Grant Program, Twice on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 3:00 pm and again at 7:00 pm in the Main Library, Room 8 A/B, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. A planning component, a multi-year application and a new evaluation component have been added to this grant. The workshop is highly recommended.
The grant program supports planning, implementation and evaluation of arts education collaborations that promotes skills, knowledge, and an appreciation of the arts. Projects occurring in low-income communities are encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants include Broward County public entities – municipalities, public libraries, Native American Nations, Broward County not-for-profit, cultural organizations, and qualified individual artists from Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, or Monroe counties. The application deadline is December 1, 2006 for projects running from October 1, 2007 – September 30, 2007 (Fiscal Year 2008).
