This workshop is recommended to artists and organizations looking to develop arts education programs.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL– Broward County Commission’s Cultural Division will offer a grant writing workshop to aid applicants for the Education and Community Development (ECD) Grant Program, on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 3:00 pm in the Main Library, Room 8 A/B, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. The workshop is highly recommended to artists and organizations looking to develop community-based arts education programs

The grant program supports planning and implementation of arts education collaborations that promote skills, knowledge, and an appreciation of the arts. Projects occurring in low-income communities are encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants include Broward County public entities – municipalities, public libraries, Native American Nations, Broward County not-for-profit, cultural organizations, and qualified individual artists from Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, or Monroe counties. The application deadline is December 3, 2007 for projects running from October 1, 2008 – September 30, 2009 (Fiscal Year 2009).
