SOUTH FLORIDA, FL – The South Florida Cultural Consortium and National Arts Strategies (NAS) extend an invitation to the South Florida region’s cultural arts executive directors, trustees and board chairs, to take part in The Business of Arts and Culture™, a nationwide executive education program for arts and cultural organizations. The program is an integrated national curriculum of seminars (scheduled spring schedule below) and applied learning services; it includes a generous subsidy for tuition and for travel costs.

This unique series of seminars is an investment in the leaders of our nation’s cultural organizations. Combining an intensive series of graduate-level, team-based educational seminars presented in cities around the country with follow-up facilitation and networking events, this program makes the highest quality executive education accessible to the field.

Low tuition fees: NAS tuition fees for its seminars are only $225 to $350 per person, depending on the team size. The South Florida Cultural Consortium is offering up to ten (10) tuition supporting scholarships, of up to $350 per person, to be refunded to the participating cultural executive upon completion of a program.

Travel assistance: Travel support, based on the size of the team, is a unique feature of The Business of Arts and Culture. For teams of three or more traveling to a seminar, NAS offers travel assistance of up to $600 per person to help cover the costs of travel and lodging. This subsidy is provided on a first-come first-served basis, so early registration is required to receive this assistance.

National Arts Strategies has been working with leaders in arts and culture for more than two decades. They have seen that a dynamic, sustainable arts community comes from the vision and effort of skilled leaders. In their executive education programs, arts leaders explore the toughest challenges facing organizations today, and learn from some of the leading business school faculty in the United States. The experience is interactive and engaging, respectful but demanding. NAS brings the best thinking from outside the arts sector into the community, challenging arts leaders to take a fresh look at their organizations.

The South Florida Cultural Consortium is a coalition of the local arts agencies of and supported by the Boards of County Commissioners of Broward, Miami-Dade, Martin, and Monroe counties, and the Palm Beach County Cultural Council. The South Florida Cultural Consortium is funded in part with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council
