BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The world‑renowned Grantsmanship Training Program will be offered to local members of the nonprofit community and municipal agencies on August 11 – 15, 2008, at ArtServe, 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Registration is limited to 27 participants.
The Nonprofit Resource Center of the Community Foundation of Broward, Inc. will host this valuable program that offers training in the very competitive process of applying for and receiving grants.
The Grantsmanship Training Program is an intensive, "hands‑on" workshop covering all aspects of researching grants, writing grant proposals and negotiating with funding sources. A five‑day workshop designed for both novice and advanced grant seekers, the program leads participants step‑by‑step through the complete grant seeking process.
"This is an exceptional opportunity for organizations to gain expertise in writing successful grant proposals to fund existing and new programs,” said Mary A. Becht, Broward County Cultural Division director.
Recognized as the leader in grant writing education, The Grantsmanship Center (TGCI) was founded in 1972 and has conducted more than 3,500 workshops in every state, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Western Pacific. There are more than 80,000 graduates of TGCI training programs. Based in Los Angeles, TGCI is the primary source of grant‑related training and information in the world.
Early registration is encouraged. Tuition for the five-day training is $895. For registration and tuition information, please call Carrie Reppert Turner, Director, Nonprofit Resource Center, Community Foundation of Broward at 954-761-9503 (x102); www.cfbroward.org or, e-mail: cturner@cfbroward.org.
