International Call to Artists for Three Artworks at Fort Lauderdale | Hollywood International Airport
Application Deadline: May 9, 2008
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – The Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art and Design Program is seeking to commission three (3) professional artists or team of artists to create original artworks that will be integrated into the designs of the new airport Terminal 1, Concourse A. The Call to Artists for the artwork commissions: Moving Walkway Interactive Artwork; Floor Design Project and Alternative Energy Powered Artwork, have an application deadline of May 9, 2008.
All three artworks will be integrated into the design of a new, five-gate concourse that will be added to Terminal Just of Concourse B. This new facility will provide a security check point area, passenger waiting rooms and concessions to serve the needs of air travelers.
Artworks must be permanent, low maintenance, and in compliance with safety regulations.
